Hakubutsukan Rokuzan (Art museum)
Also outside of Matsumoto, Hakubutsukan Rokuzan (Art museum) displays the work of Rokuzan Ogiwara, a master sculptor often referred to as the Rodin of the Orient, who diet at the age of 32. Aside from the appeal of Rokuzan's works, the gallery is in a beautiful verdant setting against a backdrop of the Northern Alps. The museum is in Hotaka, one stop north of Matsumoto Eki on the JR Oito Line. From Hotaka Eki it is a 10-minutes walk.
